This
report, published in February 2015
by the Local Government Association (LGA) and Association of Directors of Adult Social services (ADASS) helps to inform and support improvement in adult social care. It also provides an overview of the progress of councils in England towards ensuring better care and support. Maintaining and improving the level of performance or perception (ie in terms of quality of life) of social care has taken place in the context of the 26 per cent savings that have been required over the last four years. The report attributes some of this as a result of the transformation of adult social care in terms of the increased personalisation of services.
