LGA survey on cycling and walking

The LGA has published a report of a recent survey of member highways authorities on cycling and walking. The purpose of the survey was to help inform LGA understanding of how councils are promoting active travel and to identify key funding challenges and policy barriers that prevent them from doing more. An online survey comprising 17 questions was sent electronically to heads of transport in 149 upper tier councils in England for completion in April and May 2015. The survey was completed by 57 councils, a response rate of 38 per cent.
