It presents data on healthy life expectancy, older people's and children’s health and wellbeing, causes of death and ill health, and healthy living. It is designed to support improvement by informing discussions regarding local challenges and successes around health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
Health and Wellbeing in Your Area: Demographics and Determinants of Health
This report provides an in depth view of the demographics and wider determinants of health for a selected authority area and a comparison group. Through a series of charts the report brings together information regarding the population, deprivation, employment and skills and the safety of the wider environment. It is designed to provide a picture of the wider context influencing health outcomes in the area. Combining this information with local knowledge about health outcomes can help to identify key issues and priorities for the area.
Health and Wellbeing in Your Area: A Focus on Housing
This report provides an overview of housing provision in relation to health and wellbeing for a selected authority area and a comparison group. It pulls together a range of measures including housing affordability and availability, housing conditions, and health outcomes potentially related to poor housing. The purpose of the report is to explore the local context in terms of housing challenges and the potential wider impact on health and wellbeing. Councils are able to use this information to enable benchmarking and support improvement.
Health and Wellbeing in Your Area: A Focus on Children
This report outlines several key indicators of children and young people’s health and wellbeing for a selected authority area and a comparison group. Through a series of charts and supporting text the report explores the issues of best start in life, safety and wellbeing, healthy lifestyles, education and preparation for adulthood. It is designed to support local discussions about key challenges related to the health and wellbeing of children and young people in the area.
