Psychosis Data Report (published 17th October)
This report shows data for a range of indicators across the psychosis care pathway. It describes their variation across England by local authority or clinical commissioning group. It highlights:
It is for public health, service planners, commissioners, providers, advocacy groups, and policy makers. Those involved in the local planning and provision of care for people with or at risk of psychosis can use the data to help ensure that services provided meet local needs, are evidence based and to address any gaps in provision. Continued improvement in the collection and reporting of data on psychosis is also encouraged.
The excel spreadsheet shows a breakdown of indicator value for each clinical commissioning group or local authority in the country.
Perinatal Mental Health Data Catalogue (published 26th October)
The perinatal period spans the time from conception through to a year after giving birth. Perinatal mental health is concerned with the mental health and wellbeing of women and their child, partner and families during this time period.
This report lists all data and metrics that the NMHIN is aware of that is related to perinatal mental health. Metrics graded as not available at a national level may be sourced locally. It includes national datasets published at clinical commissioning group (CCG), local authority or provider level. It has information on data availability and location. It is part of a system-wide drive towards using data to support the commissioning and delivery of effective and integrated perinatal pathways.
It can be used by commissioners, policy makers, planners, service providers and advocacy groups in local areas to identify available data on perinatal mental health prevention and care. The data can be used to inform their work to ensure there are adequate and effective perinatal mental health care services in England. The data catalogue is the first step in ensuring all gaps in perinatal mental health data are filled, and aims to stimulate conversation across organisations and promote joint working to make more data available on perinatal mental health.

Neurology Services Hospital Activity Compendium (published 13th October)
The compendium shows summary level data (counts and percentages) at a national level on the hospital activity of people admitted with a neurological condition. Where possible, these national level data are also provided at a CCG level. By making this data available it is hoped that analysts, policy makers, clinicians, commissioners and charities involved in the provision of services for people with neurological conditions will be able to undertake further exploration of the information included and begin to uncover the rich detail that the product contains.
The data tables for England show data for three financial years (2012/13, 2013/14 and 2014/15):
The network plan to develop further extracts of this dataset in accordance with the identified needs of end users. Severe Mental Health (SMI) Profiling Tool
Two indicators based on NHS England Mental Health Community Teams Activity data have been updated to Q1 2016/17:
Four indicators have also been updated in the Risk & related factors domain
Common Mental Health Disorders (CMHD) Profiling Tool
Eleven monthly IAPT indicators have been updated for April – June 2016: they include indicators on access, recovery and reliable improvement rates, non-attendance rates, data completeness, waiting times and numbers of attended treatments. These are in the Quality and Outcomes domain. The quarterly IAPT indicators have not been updated because they were not available from NHS Digital when updates were run. Two prescribing indicators have been updated to Q1 2016/17: cost of GP prescribing for hypnotics and anxiolytics and cost of GP prescribing for antidepressant drugs. These are in the Finance domain.
