Knowledge Hub upgrade and redesign

All good things must come to an end… and be replaced with something better!

After months of hard work, we’re thrilled to announce that the newly upgraded and refreshed Knowledge Hub is due to go live soon.

On the morning of Monday 19 September 2022, the updated platform will be live and includes a brand new look and feel, easier navigation, enhancements to key collaborative features plus a range of new interactive elements. To make these important technical changes, Knowledge Hub will be unavailable from 4pm on Friday 16 September until 9am Monday 19 September. This will mean that there will be no email notifications on Monday 19 September. Weekly notifications will resume on Tuesday 20 September to cover the previous 7 days. Daily notifications will recommence as normal from Tuesday 20 September.

As an existing member, when you first log in to your new Knowledge Hub, it will take a few moments to build your profile, so don’t worry if it takes a little longer than normal. You will be directed to your new Home page activity stream and then you can access your groups/networks in the usual way.

We’ve improved the user experience with clearer calls to action and signposting, and a whole host of smaller but impactful changes. So, you’ll get more from your Knowledge Hub membership as well as making your use of the platform that much better for you.

When we first started the upgrade project, we gathered your feedback along with the latest trends in collaborative technologies and prioritised what we could do to improve the overall experience of being a Knowledge Hub member. This involved looking at the different user journeys for signing up, joining groups and networks, interacting with members, collaborating on content, sharing knowledge, as well as looking at those members who facilitate and manage groups and networks.

Some key upgrade features include:

A new interactive activity stream - like,   comment and preview content directly from   your own home page and your group home   pages.
View all your group invites and connection   requests easily from your home page and       act right away.

Create and share online documents,   spreadsheets or presentations and allow   other members to edit directly. This new   feature will be made available to groups on   request.
View events using the new calendar and c   choose to display events by month, week,   day or as a list.

Share news stories directly with your groups using the new News feature.

We think that’s a lot to look forward to and we can’t wait to share the new Knowledge Hub with you!

We’d also like to thank you all for your support. The Knowledge Hub community is filled with lots of keen knowledge sharers and we couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you!
