The Money Guiders NI Network is joined with IE Hub to support income and expenditure.

We’re delighted to announce IE Hub - a fintech for good company, helping the UK better manage their money - are going to be delivering a session for the Money Guiders NI Network.

About this event and organisation

IE Hub is a free online money management tool which helps people easily create a single, SFS compliant Income and Expenditure (I&E) statement. IE Hub users can update this information as their circumstances change, explore benefits they didn’t know they were entitled to (currently almost 70% of IE Hub users find they are entitled to an additional £433 per month on average!) and reduce outgoings through identification of social tariff eligibility. They can also register any additional needs they have, and uniquely share this data with all creditors and Debt Advice partners, with the full journey taking only 22 minutes! (on average)

The journey can be navigated by the customer themselves or alternatively by a company – whether that be a creditor, service provider or a charity.

If you’re a 3rd sector organisation, IE Hub will provide you with their “partner portal” for free, to help the people you support to better manage their money and help them to complete the journey, if they aren’t able to access the tool themselves.

Come along to the session to see it in action & to find out more!

Who is leading the session?

Beth Kennedy

Links to the Money Guidance Competency Framework

This event is designed to help you improve your money guidance practice, developing skills, confidence and knowledge around a specific money related area. Everything that the Money Guiders programme offers centres around the Money Guidance Competency Framework - it's there to help you better understand the full breadth and depth of money related issues that fall outside of the regulated financial advice service sector - the things you talk to your customers about.

Technical Domian 1. Knowing your customer Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Technical Domian 5. Budgeting and Cashflow Tier 1

Foundation Level - Signposting customers: all practitioners – no matter their job role – must be able to elicit simple, information from the customer in order to signpost them to appropriate sources of further support, advice or information.

Before attending this session, you could spend some time considering the challenges you face in your work, specifically when you provide help and guidance to your clients or service users around money issues.
