featuring

Professor in Computational Intelligence |  Chair IEEE Technical Committee SHIELD | Manchester Metropolitan University

and

Dr Annabel Latham

Responsible, trustworthy, and ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) are essential to build public trust and meet legal obligations, yet how can public sector organisations put ethical principles into practice?

Considering emerging legalisation on AI, organisations need to openly address ethical principles such as bias, fairness, explainability, transparency, data privacy, accountability, and safety through effective AI Governance.

In this free online seminar, the speakers will explore a range of ethical AI principles and highlight toolkits designed to engage a diverse range of stakeholders in consequence, scanning the ethical use of artificial intelligence in applications. Keeley and Annabel will also highlight examples of current work with Manchester City Councils Digital Strategy Team.
