Sign up for our next http://cpsupport.scot  community planning webinar 29 Oct. 2 pm.

Aidan McCrory, Senior Improvement Advisor in the Care Inspectorate Improvement Support Team (IST), will provide an introduction to the improvement methodology, the Model for Improvement and Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) testing, that the IST is advocating with services and inspectors.

This approach has proven to promote efficient and effective, sustainable change and importantly provide learning for individuals and organisations to build further improvement interventions from.

This will be a brief overview of who the IST are and the approach we are using. We have supported over 50 workshops to date with a range of stakeholders to raise awareness of this approach and tailor this to a specific need.

The IST resource is available to all social care providers in Scotland. This includes adults and older people’s services, children’s and young people’s services and early learning childcare. We are also working with HSCPs and Scottish Care integrated and improvement leads to access networks in local areas or partnerships. This approach can be applied in any setting including CPPs, looking at process improvements and improvements in outcomes for those experiencing care.

Using worked examples, interactive sessions and group working the IST enable participants to:

· Recognise how to carry out improvement in their services
· Support services with improvement

The aims of the workshop are to:
· Develop an understanding of QI
· Increase their confidence to use QI

The webinar is open to all working in Health and Social Care Partnerships or any Community Planning Partners. So please share this widely with anyone working in health and community planning.

The webinar is presented by the Care Inspectorate and hosted by the Improvement Service as part of the Community Planning Support in Scotland website: www.cpsupport.scot
