ESCAPE-pain Conference 2018: Innovating, Collaborating, Motivating
Events - PublicStarting 12 Dec 2018 - 09:30 through to 12 Dec 2018 - 16:00
ESCAPE-pain is a rehabilitation programme for people with chronic joint pain that integrates simple education, self-management, and coping strategies with an exercise regime which is individualised for each participant. The programme is now being delivered in over 95 sites across the UK ranging from physiotherapy departments to gyms, leisure centres and community halls.
The 2018 conference, entitled 'Innovating, Collaborating, Motivating' is aimed both at organisations with an interest in commissioning or implementing ESCAPE-pain, and those who are already committed to the Programme. Delegates will learn about current ESCAPE-pain delivery models in the health and leisure sectors and also how the programme supports delivery against the national agenda to increase physical activity in older adults.
We are pleased to be able to confirm the following keynote speakers:
- Professor Peter Kay – National Clinical Director for Musculoskeletal Care, NHS England
- Dr Samantha Roberts – Director for Innovation and Life Sciences, NHS England
- Professor Sir Muir Gray - Consultant in Public Health for UK Active
- Nuzhat Ali - National Health and Wellbeing Lead, Older Adults and Musculoskeletal Health, Public Health England
There will also be the opportunity to hear directly from organisations who are currently delivering ESCAPE-pain, and participants who have benefitted from the programme.
