Setting Up For Success: How Can We Deliver the Aims of the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 in Construction Projects in Wales?

You are invited to the CLAW Annual Conference
Wednesday 15th May 2019
Llandrindod Wells
10.30am – 4.00pm
Keynote address:
Sophie Howe
Future Generation Commissioner for Wales

“CLAW” is the Consortium of Local Authorities in Wales, which supports the professional and technical interests of property management in local government in Wales. CLAW was formed in 1962 and works with representatives from the elected members and officials of all Welsh local authorities, together with a number of associate member organisations for the promotion of excellence in the management of property assets.

Construction plays a critical role in the future of Wales, but do you know how the Future Generations Act directly affects the built environment sector? All bodies responsible for projects in Wales that receive public funding must understand and explain how their projects will support the intentions of the Act. What does this mean in practice? How and where do we start? This conference will address these questions and more.

Constructing Excellence in Wales together with the Future Generations Office, are working on the development of a Framework to assist/enable the delivery of the Act for the construction sector in Wales. The Public Sector Client in Wales has a major role in this work, hence the need for this conference. This conference is free to attend and is for Public Sector employees only, please feel free to share this event with your colleagues. Registration is necessary as numbers are limited to 100 delegates. To book you place please click the link below this will take to you the Eventbrite booking page.
