Chief Executive Officer │ HM Prison and Probation Service

Jo joined HMPPS as Chief Executive Officer in April 2019, moving  from her role as Director General for Local Government and Public Services at the Ministry for Housing and Local Government. Prior to this she was Chief Executive of Bath and North East Somerset Council.

In this free seminar Jo will discuss her reflections after 9 months in the role and her vision for the future of the agency. During her talk, she will outline her key priorities for prison and probation, including the importance of reducing reoffending, investing in the prison system, getting the probation changes right and supporting children in youth custody.

Jo is the Ministry of Justice Race Champion and she will also explain the importance of building an inclusive organisation
