Flexible, affordable, accessible childcare is a game changer in enabling parents/carers to return to work, education or training, empowering them to be able to improve outcomes for their family.

As well as delivering services Flexible Childcare services Scotland have been funded by the Scottish Government and The Hunter Foundation to develop a software and app package to allow other providers to introduce an element of flexibility into their delivery models. This toolkit, The Flexibility Pathway, includes full childcare management software functionality, e-commerce, tracks funded hours used, manages staff rotas, has internal communication systems and much more. The toolkit will be entirely free to all registered providers in Scotland and we are working with SEEMiS on plans to connect our system to their new SEEMiS Early Years administration software for the 1140 hours offer.

We are launching the Flexibility Pathway at a free to attend conference on Saturday 1st February in Dundee. Catriona Shearer (BBC Scotland) is chairing for the day, Aileen Campbell is opening the conference, we’ve got a full demo of the software, on the day sign up stations, lots of exhibitors and video case studies on the benefits of the flexible model for families and staff. There’ll be a session led by the founders of The Curiosity Approach and a section on our next steps in developing our services, including an update from SEEMiS about their new Early Years tool and how our systems will compliment and connect with each other.
