Developing Markets for Third Sector Providers: Social Impact Measurement

A free one-day training event for public sector service managers, commissioners, and procurement professionals.

Under arrangements for Best Value, Public Service Reform, and Procurement Reform, the whole of Scotland’s public sector is now focused on achieving more value at less cost.

But what do we mean by value? How can we measure it? And how do we consider it in relation to costs when making decisions? This hands-on training event offers a way to design, measure and value service outcomes in a simple yet consistent way. Led by Europe’s leading expert on social impact measurement, this master class will help you to make use of the best available frameworks, tools, and technology.

The benefits for you:

  • Develop a Theory of Change for your service, demonstrating how your financial input will lead to desired local outcomes
  • Find out ways to value service outcomes in a fun and interactive way using the Value Game
  • Learn how to calculate your service’s Social Return on Investment (SROI) using Social E-valuator™, a simple ten-step online tool

Upcoming full-day events:
12 Sept 2012: Edinburgh (Out of the Blue)
13 Sept 2012: Glasgow (EVH)

Cost:
This training event is delivered as part of the Scottish Government’s Developing markets for Third Sector Providers programme. Places are currently available free-of-charge to Scotland’s public sector.
