The CIWEM Rivers and Coastal Committee and WaPUG will be holding a joint study weekend in Kingston upon Hull.

We look forward to welcoming delegates from a range of organisations from the public and private sector for a weekend of talks, site visits, workshops and networking opportunities. The weekend will also host the final of the Rivers and Coastal Group New Members Competition 2012.

The confirmed speakers at the event will cover the following topics:

• Environment Agency Humber Strategy and Schemes, Tidal Surge Barrier and Managed Realignment

• Hull County Council Aqua Greens and Partnership funding

• Humber Frontages, Skeffling, Paul Holme Strays – from an engineering perspective

We will also be providing one-to-one competency review sessions for those delegates working towards their professional review. The weekend will contribute towards competencies A1, A2, B1, E1 and E2. More information, including the programme of events, will be available by the end of March 2012.
