Trust is vital in establishing successful and enjoyable relationships and networks in our professional and personal lives. Trust is fundamental in improving the way individuals and organisations work to understand, communicate and manage flood risk.

With trust underpinning so many successful relationships, partnerships, initiatives and strategies it is useful to explore how it can be earned and maintained. This FREE seminar (primarily for Local Authorities and other Risk Management Authorities) will explore the role of trust within flood risk management, looking at approaches to establish and maintain trust, what works, and what to do when it doesn’t.

Why bother?

The seminar will be of particular interest to those working in or with local authorities (and other risk management authorities) on local flood risk management. In particular

delegates will gain:

  • An overview of how trust can be earned and maintained within local flood risk management, through ‘real life’ case studies.
  • Practical insight and skills development into how trust can be earned and maintained with organisations, potential partners and communities.
  • An opportunity to share experiences with other professionals developing similar initiatives and/or facing familiar challenges.
