You are warmly invited by Scottish Government to a learning event about gathering and using equality evidence in support of the Public Sector Equality Duty. The event has been designed to inform and support those who will be charged to meet the specific duties, and will draw on the experience and expertise of public sector colleagues across Scotland. The event will also mark the launch of the new Scottish Government Equalities Evidence website, which will be introduced and demonstrated on the day.

We are expecting the Public Sector Equality Duty specific duties to come into force on 27 May.

The event will include a variety of presentations and workshops from national and local public sector officials with experience of gathering and using equality evidence. Scottish Government Equality and Poverty Analysis Team will provide an update about their work to improve equality evidence availability. 

The emphasis on the day will be peer learning and support so there will be plenty of time for discussion and opportunities for you to ask questions.

We will send a programme for the event nearer the time.
