Micro-businesses are defined as businesses employing fewer than ten people. Where micro-businesses have been successfully engaged, numerous job opportunities have been opened up for unemployed learners and local micro-businesses have been helped to prosper and expand.

This CPD training introduces delegates to the unique nature of micro-businesses and to the approach required to engage them. As well as introducing helpful approaches to delivering pre-employment training, Apprenticeships and work based training for micro-businesses, this training enables providers to consider the cost effectiveness for their organisation of engaging micro-businesses.

Participants who attended this training previously said:

'A good overview for re-focusing on micro-businesses as a crucial aspect of my organisation's overall business approach.'
'It opens up another "hidden job market" that may have not been considered before.'
'Good insight into the importance of engaging what is approximately 30% of the marketplace in terms of potential apprenticeship business'
'Good insight as to how we could improve our relationship with micros.'
'Coming from a training provider where over 95% of our employers are micros/ SME's, I have found the training very useful and I have learned a lot from it... I would recommend it.'
