As you may be aware, last November BIS issued its consultation on draft Regulations to repeal the Pedlars Acts and to amend Schedule 4 to the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (“the LG(MP)A”) in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the European Services Directive.

BIS would like to hear the views of local authorities or those that represent the interests’ of local authorities and would therefore like to invite you to a meeting in their offices here in BIS on Friday 1st February between 2.30pm  – 4.30pm.
