The Local Government Association’s annual conference is the biggest event in the local government calendar. It also is one of the biggest political conferences of the year, regularly attracting over 1,200 delegates and keynote speakers from central and local government alike.

The conference will discuss and debate the central role that the council plays in:

  • promoting economic growth, jobs and prosperity
  • delivering public service reform and ultimately more effective services for local people
  • ensuring that financing for local government is sustainable and fair

If your elected members are coming (and why wouldn't they be?), then make sure that our session on supporting business through effective regulation - Local Government is 'Open for Business' - is top of their 'to do' list.

Our offer is not limited to one session and there will be a number of wokshops throughout the conference that have implications for regulation and growth:

  • Making your Local Enterprise Partnership work
  • The visitor economy: a powerhouse of local growth
  •  Improving services with the support of peers (LGA)
  • Making health everybody’s business
  • Whole Place Community Budgets – Public Service Transformation
