Public notices

As you will be aware, CLG has made available some funding for councils to submit ideas to run six-month pilots exploring different ways of publishing public notices https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/statutory-notices-for-the-21st-century The closing date is 28 January.

To help you if you are considering a submission to be one of the pilots or if you would just like to find out more, The LGA is co-hosting, with CLG two short events in Coventry and London.  Senior officials from CLG will set out the details of the process, what they are looking from submissions and there will also be a Q and A session.   In addition, they are keen to hear your views on what you will need to ensure that any adopted ideas are able succeed. Details of the sessions are:

The events are of course open to anyone working in councils but are particularly aimed at communications teams, licensing and planning officers and legal staff.

I know this is incredibly short notice but we are keen to give you as much time as possible to complete your submissions.
