Pre-requisites
This course will be of benefit to Trading Standards Officers and Environmental Health Officers whose work involves food standards inspections. Before attending this course Officers should have attended the Overview of the Food Information Regulations course, or have good working knowledge of the Regulations.
Aims
This course will:
• Show how improvement notices fit into your current work
• Provide an opportunity to discuss approaches to enforcement.
• Include practical notice drafting sessions
• Promote confidence when using notices
Objectives
On completion of the course delegates will be:
• Able to identify non-compliances where improvement notices are appropriate.
• Aware of the available enforcement options.
• Able to draft out Improvement Notices.
• Aware of the appeals procedure
