Day 1

HACCP FOR TSO's:

This course will be relevant to Trading Standards professionals who are responsible for the enforcement of food and/or feed hygiene law. Aim of the course is to give Trading Standards Officers an understanding of the application of HACCP principles as they apply to the food industry.

 

Day 2

Detention and Seizure: 

The course will be suitable for both Environmental Health Practitioners and Trading Standards professionals. The course aims to provide an overview of the appropriate use of these enforcement powers. The course will help delegates to:

  • Appreciate the appropriate use of Notices.
  • Develop a systematic approach to food safety enforcement.
  • Avoid service of defective notices.

 

Day 3

The Safe Production of Beef Burgers (In Catering Establishments):

 An increasing number of caterers are now offering rare and medium rare burgers to their customers. This course provides delegates with a review of the guidance recently issued by the Food Standards Agency on this topic together with the opportunity to discuss compliance strategies.
