Project Management is an equal opportunities profession, however statistics show that there are more men than women in roles irrespective of the sector; this panel led question and answer session is to allow an open floor discussion around why this could be and identify ways in which this could be addressed.

Open floor discussion / debate where questions will be raised to a panel of Project Management professionals to gain an insight to their views on Diversity with Project Management.

Although this is an equal opportunities profession which is reliant on a specific skill set, the data still shows that there are more men than women in roles, irrespective of the sector.

The discussion / debate will allow for members to provide a view as to why this is; i.e. what are the perceived blockers and also what can we as an organisation can do to address these.

Some items which have been highlighted over the past couple of months are gender bias, salary gap, WLB and managing a career & family, support within sectors perceived as being for one gender only and highlighting, via education at an early age, the career opportunities available within the profession.

This event is suitable for professionals with any level of experience.
