About this Event

The Knowledge and Community Network (KCN) is working with the Knowledge Hub to run regular events for those interested in or are working in knowledge and community management.

The KCN is very pleased that Dr Arthur Shelley will be providing us with a free webinar on "Cocreated Projects Worth Doing".

Arthur explains that the fact that an unpredictable event like the COVID Pandemic can disable humanity’s significant structures (social, economic and political), demonstrates just how vulnerable that system is.

We can create a more resilient and adaptable system, if we challenge ourselves to do things differently and invest our collective knowledge in more sustainable approaches. To achieve such desired outcomes, we will benefit from adopting more co-creative approaches for the design and implementation of strategic change.

One effective tool for this purpose is “Cocreated Project Worth Doing” (CPWD). People are naturally creative, subjective creatures who (when engaged well) love to learn. Arthur will cover:

    • What co-created projects worth doing are
    • Where they evolved from?
    • Why they have are greater agility and impact than traditional projects methods in uncertainty.
    • How can we easily put it in practice

We are then going to apply the methodology to real life project situation and understand better how it can be put into practice. Please attend ready to try it and discuss it together.

Arthur acknowledges that there is value in maintaining a diversity of approaches to project design and implementation. CPWD does not replace traditional project management (PM) design and implementation methods, it adds to our PM toolkit, especially in VUCA situations (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous).

Arthur is a capability and knowledge strategy consultant with over 30 years professional experience. Currently, founder of Intelligent Answers and the Organizational Zoo Ambassador Network, he has held a variety of professional roles managing international projects in Australia, Europe, Asia and USA. As an independent consultant and educator, he mentors KM teams on knowledge and has been my friend and mentor for over 15 years.
