Plastic waste entering our oceans is set to triple by 2040 – the equivalent of 50kg for every metre of coastline in the world.

Governments around the world are responding to the problem in a variety of ways – banning single-use plastic, introducing plastic taxes and increasing local recycling initiatives. Yet according to a recent report by The Pew Charitable Trusts, SYSTEMIQ, and a panel of partner organisations, more needs to be done to turn the tide on plastic waste.
