Plastic waste entering our oceans is set to triple by 2040 – the equivalent of 50kg for every metre of coastline in the world.

Governments around the world are responding to the problem in a variety of ways – banning single-use plastic, introducing plastic taxes and increasing local recycling initiatives. Yet according to a recent report by The Pew Charitable Trusts, SYSTEMIQ, and a panel of partner organisations, more needs to be done to turn the tide on plastic waste.

If your organisation wants to demonstrate greener credentials, working towards the Responsible Plastic Management (RPM) Standard is one way that you can play your part in tackling this global and ever-growing issue. It is applicable to organisations of all sizes and across many sectors and supports commitments to national plastics pacts or pledges.

Join our panel of experts from industry and academia to learn more about the issue and why RPM could work for your organisation.

The webinar will cover:

  • The issue of plastic waste – how we reached the situation we find ourselves in today
  • What’s been done to date – and why we need to do more
  • RPM – an overview of why it was launched, how, and why it works
  • Benefits of the RPM Standard
  • Q&A
