Events - Public

featuring

Nicola Drinkwater │SeniorPolicy Officer Clinks

and

Lisa Hornung │ Research Officer │NCVO

For the last 5 years Clinks has been collecting information about how voluntary organisations working in criminal justice have been faring. This year, working in partnership with NCVO, more detailed research has been gathered and shows that the voluntary sector continues to be resilient and innovative but service user needs are more complex and challenging. The safety net is shrinking and those needing support are finding it harder to access the help they need.

In this free seminar Nicola and Lisa will share the results of the research - what is working and what could be improved and lessons to be learnt for commissioners. They will also discuss how voluntary organisations play an essential role in people’s lives but the challenges they experience are significant and why ignoring them is not an option.
