Can Small Changes Make a Big Difference: Applying behavioural insights to public services
featuring speakers from the UK Behavioural Insights Team
Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is a world-leading organisation that uses behavioural science to improve public policy and deliver better outcomes for people.
Established in 2010, BIT works across a wide range of policy areas, including health, education and criminal justice. The team works closely with government departments and public services to design and implement evidence-based interventions that take into account the way people actually behave, as opposed to just relying on traditional assumptions about behaviour.
During this free seminar Ed and Chiara will explain what 'Behavioural Insights' means and how a better understanding of human behaviour can lead to more effective policies and programmes. They will also show what this looks like in practice using BIT projects in criminal and social justice contexts.
Finally they will explain how you could incorporate this approach into your own work.
