About this event

The North Wales Financial Wellbeing Forum is holding their fifth meeting of the 'What's our story?' event, solely aimed at the organisations of North Wales. This event is being held face to face in Wrexham, with access to Welsh and British Sign Language translation if required. A light lunch will be provided.

'What our story?' is aimed at organisations and Community Groups delivering advice and information services within our communities of North Wales, particularly focusing on front line advisers, team leaders and operational managers, however, it is an open event and please feel free to attend, no matter how small an organisation or group you are, as all our voices are needed to be heard.

Mae Fforwm Llesiant Ariannol Gogledd Cymru’n cynnal eu pumed cyfarfod o’r digwyddiad ‘Beth yw ein stori?, sydd wedi ei lunio’n benodol ar gyfer sefydliadau yng Ngogledd Cymru. Rydym yn cynnal y digwyddiad hwn wyneb yn wyneb yn Wrecsam, gyda’r opsiwn o gael cyfieithiad Cymraeg a chyfieithiad Iaith Arwyddion Prydain os byddwch ei eisiau. Byddwn yn darparu cinio ysgafn.

Mae ‘Beth yw ein stori?’ wedi ei anelu at sefydliadau a grwpiau cymunedol sy’n darparu gwasanaethau cyngor a gwybodaeth yn ein cymunedau yng Ngogledd Cymru. Mae’n canolbwyntio’n arbennig ar gynghorwyr rheng flaen, arweinwyr tîm a rheolwyr gweithredol, ond mae’n ddigwyddiad agored ac mae croeso i chi fynychu, waeth pa mor fach yw eich sefydliad neu grŵp, oherwydd mae angen i leisiau pawb gael eu clywed.

The Money Guiders Programme

Money Guiders is a programme run by MaPS, which seeks to help money guidance practitioners improve their knowledge, skills and confidence. Everything that the Money Guiders programme offers centres around the Money Guidance Competency Framework - it's there to help you better understand the full breadth and depth of money related issues that fall outside of the regulated financial advice service sector - the things you talk to your customers about.

Before attending the session, you could spend some time considering the challenges you face in your work, specifically when you provide help and guidance to your clients or service users around money issues.

  • How do you spot potential problems?

  • How can you start conversations about money in a sensitive way and at the appropriate time?

  • How do you maintain good boundaries in your role as a money guidance practitioner within your main area of work?
