About this event

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) collaborates with a range of organisations in Wales to provide regional Financial Wellbeing Forums, that align with our UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing and the Wales Delivery Plan.

You can expect to hear updates from speakers right across the Wales financial wellbeing and money guidance agenda, and have a chance to have your say on the hot topics, from policy and funding to frontline practice issues.

This session is being lead by the Money Guiders Wales network and will have the following speakers:

Agenda

  • 10.00 - Welcome and housekeeping
  • 10.05 - Introductions and updates from organisations across Mid & South Wales
  • 10.25 - Update on the Money Guiders Programme
  • 10.40 - Update on the Financial Wellbeing Strategy Wales Delivery Plan
  • 11.00 - TV licensing (scams, ways to pay, simple payment plan) plus Q&A
  • 11.30 - National Energy Action (energy pricing, July update, energy saving tips) plus Q&A
  • 11.55 - Final remarks

Learning Outcomes

Attendees will receive an update about the Money Guiders programme, plus further information on the Financial Wellbeing Strategy Wales delivery plan. They will hear from Becky Laflain of National Energy Action who will be covering energy pricing, what's happening in July and starting to think about winter too; sharing some energy saving tips along the way. Attendees will also hear about TV licensing; covering scams, ways to pay and the simple payment plan. Attendees will also have the opportunity to both give and hear updates from organisations across Mid & South Wales.
