An overview of social security for families with children in Scotland from the Child Poverty Action Group.
About
This session will cover new devolved support in Scotland, including Best Start and the Scottish child payment, as well as how this fits in with the UK system, child benefit and the move from tax credits to universal credit. Families may also be able to get help with childcare costs and education benefits.
Child Poverty Action Group works on behalf of the more than one in four children in the UK growing up in poverty. They provide second-tier advice, information, and training for staff working with low income families.
