Amid the costs of living crisis, statistics from the Office for National Statistics provide evidence that people are struggling and just do not have enough money at present. One in four adults are borrowing more money or using more credit, and 61% of adults are generally concerned about their household bills.

And people do not talk about money, resulting in poor or impulsive decisions and increased problem debt, making access to affordable credit a crucial need to prevent people turning to illegal money lenders.

In this session you will:

  • hear about the growth of RACA and the importance of partnership working at a local level, with examples and outcomes
  • learn what hasn't worked, and
  • find out about what you need to start an affordable credit network

You’ll have a chance to put your questions to our speaker during this event.

Speaker

  • Yvonne Hughes, Affordable Credit Officer, Renfrewshire Affordable Credit Alliance
