The use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) is growing with strength and intensity. The related modern technologies are becoming increasingly important for Hong Kong’s building and construction industry in both the public and private sectors.

With the changing landscape of the construction industry in Hong Kong there is a requirement to embrace the use of innovation and technology.

Stakeholders in this industry are facing the increasing need and challenges to examine, evaluate and suitably adopt different types of technologies, especially the merits of BIM to suit their project requirements or site contexts.

This talk will cover some research and case studies regarding the the use, implementation and merits of BIM in the Hong Kong SAR Government, Construction Industry Council, construction stakeholders, specialists, and users.
