The Wales Financial Education Forum focuses on financial wellbeing of children and young people from 3 to 25 years old.

  • WFEF meets quarterly and has a diverse range of people attend. We often get policy makers, funders, advice providers and frontline practitioners, youth workers, teachers, and others.
  • We invite speakers every time to talk about anything children and young people or families and money.
  • It’s an informal meeting, no set membership and people join as and when they can, and level of knowledge will vary.

AGENDA

  • Financial expert Emmanuel Asuquo will be sharing information on the NSPCC’s Number Day Initiative.
  • From Scotland we will be hearing about the benefits - from both a child poverty and educational attainment perspective - of embedding advice services or referral pathways to advice services in education settings, including nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. Embedding access to money and welfare rights advice in education settings (office.com)
