Disruptive technologies and new sources of innovation are two sources of uncertainty that challenge organisations and project teams. Nick will share his insights on managing a programme of innovation projects on a multi-billion-pound infrastructure construction project and provide key takeaways for project professionals.

This session will outline the importance of having a strategic view of innovation, embracing uncertainty and, how creativity and problem solving drives new sources of innovation as a vehicle for project improvement.

A section HS2 main civil works construction provides the backdrop for drawing insights on the implementation of innovations, including; artificial intelligence, nature-based solutions and a range of products.

We will conclude by looking at what this means to Project Managers and the project profession, focusing on the key areas of change management needed to prepare for success; people, culture and behaviours.
