Meeting objectives:

• To bring participants up to speed with the data and intelligence available for commissioning children’s and maternity services
• To give practical experience of accessing data and intelligence, developing confidence for how to apply in their own commissioning

The day will comprise three sessions:

Session 1: Overview of the data and intelligence resources available to commissioners
The first session introduces delegates who are new to Fingertips to its functionality. If you’ve already used Fingertips, it should provide a useful reminder and will cover:
• Child health profiles
• Child and maternal health section on Fingertips
• Focus on health behaviours in young people

Session 2: Focus on self-harm and related indicators

Session 3: Focus on perinatal mental health 

Aimed at:

Commissioners of children, young people’s and maternity services in local authorities and the NHS. No prior knowledge of child and maternal data needed; all levels of experience can be accommodated.
