Former Member 11 Years Ago Hi Blair, some very good questions and observations, the simple fact is we are all different. I believe you probably wrote these without a need for answers but to spark a philosophical debate. Loyalty is a biggie for me I spent years in the forces, loyalty is a key behaviour and most people become fiercely loyal. This can lead to cover ups to protect those who may not have earned that loyalty. In reallity it also protects others too, but is it right? Does loyalty have a right or wrong? I consider I am very loyal, but I have seen that it can be one sided, and loyalty can be used by management as a stick, I have seen loyal people badly treated by managers who show what I consider disloyalty in return, yet they still remain loyal so where does loyalty really fit when it is one sided.? 3 Reply as... Blair McPherson 11 Years Ago Paul Loyalty and whistle blowing can seem to be at opposite ends. Loyalty to a person is admirable but has it limits, loyalty to an organisation sounds old fashioned rather than professional and could led to cover ups, I go with to thyne own self be true. 1 Reply as...
