Our gift to you

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, we’d like to give you a Christmas gift…

Our top 5 tips for getting the most out of Knowledge Hub

  1. Join groups

Knowledge Hub’s groups are where lots of the action happens. They’re the place to be for sharing knowledge, experiences and insight with colleagues across public service, who have the same interests as you, or do a similar job.
Find and join groups relevant to you

  2. Get involved

As a group member, you’ll find plenty of information at your fingertips. Of course, you can download documents and keep up with the latest discussions and ideas. But, what about asking a question in the forum yourself, uploading a useful case study or report to the library, or promoting a forthcoming event? Not feeling brave enough yet? What about voting in the group poll to start with?

  3. Write a blog

The idea of writing a blog can often seem a bit daunting, especially if you’re new to it. We think a good way to start can be to offer some reflections about an event or workshop you’ve been to that perhaps other colleagues weren’t able to attend or might find useful. As you gain confidence with your blogging, there are more different styles and types of blog you could write.

  4. Set your email notifications

We know you’re not going to have time to check your Knowledge Hub groups and content every day. That’s why it’s a great idea to set up your email notifications, so you can receive updates and reminders about what’s happening direct to your email. It’s easy to do and it means you won’t miss out on important information.
Check and amend your email notifications

  5. Complete your profile

Filling in your profile can help relevant colleagues find you. Adding a bit of information about yourself and uploading a profile photo is quick and easy to do and it will increase your visibility to others across Knowledge Hub who might want to connect with you.
Edit your profile

We hope you like our little gift. And there’s more where this came from… If you ever need any help finding your way around Knowledge Hub, there’s plenty of advice on our help pages.
