Former Member 7 Years Ago I'm sorry to have missed the Digital Leaders Conference and have read a few reports to bing myself up to speed. I guess, without sounding too blasé, there were no surprises. Digital Leaders pretty much tracks the pulse that keeps the DNA activated. Thanks for your own thoughts here Liz. "Creativity, collaboration, bold thinking and adaptability" are the keys and connective/interconnective core skills, and always have been, but they are also hard areas to really define. The problem we have in society, and the thing that has been most elusive in understanding how to ensure the DNA is refined, is in simplistic over analysis and silo mentality that pervades. It has had a detrimental impact in the Public sector, but has also permeated our thinking, creating a rejection of what became called 'soft-skills' as somehow less important. In fact creativity, collaboration, bold thinking and adaptability should be the ultimate focus of what we do. Anything that deflects us from creating a world that precludes this is simply a dead-end. Those skills and values that are timeless and predominantly forward looking are the strands which make up that DNA. I've always been convinced of this. I'd say that you found the right messages at this gathering...This is what makes Digital Leaders such an important alliance of good thinking and direction. 1 Reply as... Cancel
