The Public Health England, Dental Public Health Intelligence Programme supports the collection, analysis and dissemination of reliable and robust information on the oral health needs of local populations.
This includes newly published (January 2015) results of the survey of three-year-old children 2013. The summary report and associated tables present the results of standardised dental examinations of three-year-old children attending private and state funded nurseries, nursery classes attached to schools and playgroups across England during the 2012/13 school year. This is the first national survey of this age group. The tables provide details of total three-year-old population, number of children examined, along with weighted values for a number of dental and oral health indicators for local authorities. Data and associated confidence intervals are presented at national, government regional, upper and lower-tier local authority and PHE centre level.
