HSCIC consultation on proposed changes to national data collections for Adult Social Care

The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) have recently launched 3 consultations on proposed changes to national data collections for adult social care. Over the past few months, HSCIC have been assessing what changes need to be made to the social care national data collections arising from the introduction of the Care Act.

On 10 December they launched a consultation containing proposals for changes to the Safeguarding Adults Return and the Adult Social Care User and Carer Surveys. The consultation will close on Wednesday 4 February 2015.

There are further consultations on a proposed new collection relating to Deferred Payment Agreements, as well as questions regarding the care cap and possible changes to the Short and Long Term (SALT) return. Both of these close on 16 February.
