Last date for submission – 8th August - Protecting Health and Care Information, DH data sharing consultation

A reminder that the Department of Health data sharing consultation closes this Friday 8th August.
This consultation sets out proposals for new regulations to place strong controls around the disclosure of data which might potentially identify individuals by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) and accredited safe havens.
An earlier post provides details about the consultation. Mark Davies, Director of Informatics and Digital Strategy at the Department of Health is producing a series of blog posts to support discussion of the consultation.

The Greater Manchester Public Health Intelligence Network (GMPHIN) have produced a co-ordinated response to this consultation which all 10 LAs in Greater Manchester will be submitting individually. The response will be available on the Health Statistics User Group (HSUG) website so that people can compare this reponse with their own.
