PHE publish update to data guide for sexual and reproductive health in England

Sexual and reproductive health in England: A guide to local and national data published by Public Health England (PHE)

PHE's guide to local and national sexual and reproductive health data, first published in April 2014, has been updated and published. The guide provides a summary of key data sources from PHE as well as other organisations, with details on how these can be accessed. Within the new version links have been revised to reflect the move to gov.uk and content has also been updated and added.

Also available from PHE are the Sexual and Reproductive Health Profiles. These are designed to support local authorities, public health leads and other interested parties to monitor the sexual and reproductive health of their population and the contribution of local public health related systems. The profiles are presented as interactive maps, charts and tables that provide a snapshot of sexual and reproductive health across a range of topics including teenage pregnancy, abortions, contraception, HIV, sexually transmitted infections and sexual offences. Wider influences on sexual health such as alcohol use, and other topics particularly relating to teenage conceptions such as education and deprivation level, are also included.
