Public Health Outcomes Framework Tool update, May 2014

The Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) sets out a vision for public health, desired outcomes and the indicators that will help us understand how well public health is being improved and protected. The Public Health Outcomes Framework Tool presents data for the indicators in a user friendly format and provides interactive tools to compare your local authority with others. The data tool also provides links to further supporting and relevant information to aid understanding of public health in a local population. Data are published as part of a quarterly update cycle in August, November, February and May.

The May 2014 update contains new baseline information for 10 indicators, more recent data for 22 indicators, additional lower tier local authority data for 2 indicators, equalities/inequalities breakdowns for 12 indicators, changes to 10 indicators to take account of population and data revisions, and 7 indicators with pre-baseline trend data.
