Introducing Digital Leaders North West

The Digital Leaders North West network will be the third high profile local Digital Leaders network to be formed. Through sponsorship from Knowledge Hub, we will provide a local programme of free events and networking drinks open to all sectors - public, private and not-for-profit.

Our webpage sets out some of our ambitions which I’m sure will grow in time as the network becomes more established. Here, we will be adding details about forthcoming events: http://digitalleaders.co.uk/dl-north-west/

We also have a Knowledge Hub group to exchange thoughts and ideas on how the North West network can add value to the region.

The network is part of the national Digital Leaders programme which has been running for over 4 years. The programme comprises events and networking sessions including the annual National Digital Conference and coordination of the Digital Leaders’ Awards.

We are partnering with Go OnLocalGov Digital and Socitm who, like us, are keen to grow regional networks of digital leaders and practitioners.  We would love to hear from other groups pushing the local digital agenda in the area to explore how we can work together.

Our first event will be held on 2 July in Liverpool and will be in the form of a ‘salon’ (basically a facilitated roundtable discussion for 30-40 people, beginning with 2-3 short 5-minute viewpoints) on the topic of ‘Deep impact – the challenge of digital change.’ The salon will run 4-6pm, followed by networking drinks at a local hostelry. If you can’t make the salon, feel free to join us for drinks.

For more details and to book your free place visit the Digital Leaders NW webpage: http://digitalleaders.co.uk/dl-north-west/

The forward programme will be planned by a steering group comprising representatives drawn from local public, private and not-for-profit sectors to ensure it focuses on challenges that are important to the North West region. If you would like to be part of the steering group, please do get in touch with me.

I look forward to hearing from you and working together to develop a lively network!
